For as long as I can remember, I've kept every doodle, drawing, letter and note intended for me. It wasn't until the other night when I started scanning old magazines that I started going through the box I keep these memories in.

 These little drawings are among my favorites. My friend Khoa drew two of these (first and last) at a bar and they mean a lot to me. The one in the middle he drew a few years ago and I liked it so much, he just ripped it out of his notebook and gave it to me. I think the reason why I was so attached to that little drawing is because it reminds me of my favorite Arcade Fire song "Cold Wind".

Khoa is also my favorite cartoon character to draw. I always practice drawing him because he has such defined features and the way he presents himself is undeniably...Khoa. There's no one like him. He's the perfect cartoon character to me.
