Favorite Lipsticks

I know I've left out plenty of information in my video (I'm not the best at reviews), so I've decided to further explain in this blog post.  If there is anything else you'd like to know, please comment and I'll get back to you at my earliest convenience.

LEFT TO RIGHT

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick "Rossetto" No.12
Around $5 at drugstores.  Relatively glossy finish, but I like to apply a thick layer, blot, and reapply this lipstick in a "blotting motion" rather than "swiping" motion so that the color isn't too shiny.  The perfect summer color, smells great, sheer to medium, moisturizing, build-able color.  Oh, and did I mention it's designed my Kate Moss?

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick "Rosy Nude" No.65
"My lips but better" lipstick.  It's moisturizing, creamy (not too shiny), and works well as a cream blush too (hope that doesn't gross anyone out).  Love the packaging and texture too.

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick "Soft Rose" No.40
A touch more pink than my lips so it adds the perfect amount of flush.  Oh, and I hear it's a great dupe for Chanel Rouge Coco in #5 Mademoiselle and NARS Dolce Vita.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil "Damned"
I know, I know this isn't technically a lipstick, but it's a lip product in a stick form, is it not?  I loooove this color.  Blue undertone, plum shade, matte but not drying.  Its just perfect.  The only thing I'd change is the packaging.  Fuck having to sharpen or carry around a sharpener for this product.  What a waste.

Sephora Manic Mat "Mat 09"
Very similar to NARS Damned, but much better packaging.  This product is scented, so if that's not your scene, I do apologize.  It is, however, matte but not drying so you really can't lose.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Rouge Artist Intense Mat 7
I love this color, especially during Fall/Winter, but you really do need to moisturize your lips before applying this product because it is drying.  And by "drying", I mean bits and crumbles fall off this product if you apply it straight from the tube.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick "Wine Not" Matte 010
I'd say this shade is similar to the lipstick above BUT it's even more drying and a touch more brown than red.  I don't mind the drying bit as long as I use a petroleum based lip "moisturizer" before hand (offers the right amount of 'slip').  I put up with all this because it's a gorgeous matte shade.

NARS Lip Stain Gloss "Daredevil"
Definitely not a lipstick, but I swatched it just incase because I know when you're talking "lipstick", you have to talk about your perfect "red".  I haven't found mine.  This is the closest I've ever gotten, but it's in a lip stain gloss form.  If you have any suggestions for a good lipstick that's matte with a blue undertone, share the wealth.

Just wanted to make sure: you say "right to left" under your swatch... did you mean to say "left to right"? It seems more appropriate with the order of color descriptions/what I know of these lip colors.

Thanks for some great suggestions!! Got me curious in some new products :)

@ThriftThick Thank you! I started watching a samurai movie right before writing this post and my boyfriend mentioned reading script from right to left and it kinda stuck.

NARS Scarlet Empress! I have big Asian lips too, and when I was 5 years (and 1 baby) younger, this was perfect on me!
